KOM d.o.o. environmental impact improvement project – P4I

KOM d.o.o. is a small company whose activity is the production and sale of injection molding tools for plastic injection molding, cutting and compression molding, die casting, injection molding of light metals, and injection molding of plastic and rubber products. The company has more than 30 years of experience in its field of activity and is well-established in the Slovenian, Austrian and Serbian markets.

In the framework of the P4I project, the company has optimized its production process by purchasing and implementing a modern plastic injection molding machine and associated robot and other peripheral (digital) equipment, which has significantly contributed to an increased share of recycled material in the final products and, at the same time, to reduced energy consumption due to the replacement of old technology with new. It is state-of-the-art plastic injection molding technology, enabling high-quality products and optimized production. By integrating the machine into the process control system, potential risks of environmental pollution and energy waste are avoided.

The investment follows the company’s orientation to ensure more material and energy-efficient production. The new technologies inherently meet the highest environmental standards and thus contribute to a lower environmental impact. On the other hand, the increased efficiency of the new machinery shortens production cycles with minimal energy and material losses.
