SAFEGUARD – Smart Safety Chamber – RRI2 2019

Flexido d.o.o. is a young company engaged in the development of flexible robotic cells that provide a solution to those involved in the production of products using CNC and injection molding machines, which places them in the vertical axis of robotic systems and components and the horizontal focus area of robotics.

The project “SAFEGUARD – Smart Protection Chamber” has developed a solution suitable for anyone wishing to automate production. The project has addressed the technological restructuring of the toolmaking sector, while at the same time using technology to enable users (companies) to fully robotically automate the process in a simple and flexible way, including addressing the aspect of safe production.

In terms of functionality, they have followed the principles of industrial design to make a user-friendly and attractive product (easy assembly, compactness, and affordability). It is a SAFEGUARD smart safety chamber for cooperative/collaborative robots. The product works as a smart gripper that enables safe working and continuously monitors the process. They have also developed their control unit containing integrated sensors and their software application to operate the whole system.

The RRI project also represents a key new reference that has taken the company’s position to a new level, as the development has confirmed that they can easily meet customer expectations. They are also expecting new development partnerships attracted by the new RRI product (→ focusing on collaborating with research organizations at home and abroad to further strengthen the R&D potential).
